Vestas expects to have the V150 turbines halted as a precaution following a collapse in Sweden back up and running by the middle of this year.

The wind OEM said it will soon start work on around 150 machines taken out of service after the incident involving a V150 4.2MW model.

A Vestas spokesman said: “Following the identification of the root cause, the work at the affected sites to get the paused turbines up and running again will soon commence and turbines start returning to operation.
