Vestas has announced two large onshore wind turbine orders in the US, which combined have more than half a gigawatt in capacity, supporting comments by CEO Henrik Andersen earlier this month that the Danish OEM is on track to become profitable again this year.
The North American unit of French utility Engie placed a 270MW order for an undisclosed wind project, consisting of 60 of the manufacturer's V163-4.5MW
