Americas joy for Vestas as wind giant seals deals in US and Brazil

Wind turbine giant Vestas has won orders in the US and Brazil which combined top 300MW.

The Danish company will supply its V150-4.2MW and its V136.3.45MW machines in a 3.6MW operating mode to developer Invenergy for its 235MW Sapphire Sky wind project in the mid-western US state of Illinois.

“We are pleased to partner once again with Invenergy, a global leader in sustainable energy, and expand the renewable energy sector in Illinois with the Sapphire Sky project,” said Laura Beane, president of Vestas North America.
