Vestas-owned UpWind to service 1.75GW of GE machines for Buffett

The deal spans GE 1.5 S and SLE machines at 15 wind sites owned by Berkshire Hathaway’s MidAmerican Energy Co. and PacifiCorp in the states of Iowa, Wyoming, and Oregon.

The deal is a coup for UpWind, which was bought by Vestas last year in a $60m deal.

At the time of acquisition the O&M specialist had 3GW under contract in nine states.
