Vestas will debut its V150-5.6MW EnVentus wind tubines at Notus Energy Plan’s Beesenberg II project, in Brandenburg, Germany, in the first delivery of the next-generation concept to the European country.
The 11MW order will be wired into the Beesenberg and Lübbenow development, where a batch of V150-4.2MW machines, ordered in 2018, are currently being erected.

The Beesenberg II turbines will mounted on Vestas’ LDST (large diameter steel tower) tower technology to reach a hub-height of 166m to capture “stronger and more consistent wind speeds, which will increase the annual energy production and lower the levelised cost of energy”, said de Barr.
The order covers supply, installation, and commissioning of the turbines as well as a 25-year active output management service agreement and a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution.
Turbine delivery and commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of 2020.
