The Danish group signed deals in “at least 16 countries” in the January-June period to lead Navigant’s Wind Turbine Order Tracker 3Q16, which ranks publicly-announced orders by the world’s wind majors but excludes China, due to what the research group says is “the opaque state of order reporting in that market”.
Vestas “showcased its market reach” to register 3.53GW to overtake Siemens – leader in the previous half-year’s study – and leave its German competitor in second place.
