Danish OEM Vestas has landed a 202MW order for its 3.45MW V136 turbine for an undisclosed US wind project.
The machines, delivered in 3.6MW ‘power optimised’ model on its 4MW platform technology, will be the tallest in the lower-50, featuring 112-metre-tall towers and a tip height of 180-metres, designed to capture “new and previously unharnessed wind resource areas” while boosting annual energy production.
