Vestas unveiled an extension order with Indian developer ReNew Power, giving a boost to the global wind giant in a market where it hopes to gain traction.

ReNew Power will deploy 101MW of V120-2.2 MW machines to extend an existing 250MW Vestas-equipped project in Kutch, Gujarat, for commissioning late this year and in early 2022.

The contract with the OEM also includes a 10-year service agreement and a yield-based availability deal, which Vestas said offers “long-term business case certainty” to ReNew Power, India's biggest renewable independent power producer.
