Vestas has secured clearance under Brazil’s local-content rules for the V150 4.2MW wind turbine that has proved a huge order success for the Danish manufacturer in South America.
The V150 – the largest turbine assembled in Brazil – was accredited by National Development Bank (BNDES) as compliant with the country’s complex localisation regulations, which require a 70% local content level and set parameters even down to nuts and bolts.
