Wind giant Vestas is folding its Utopus Insights data analytics subsidiary into its internal operations, five years after its $100m acquisition of the US-based firm.
Vestas said Utopus Insights’ technology and “large parts” of its team will be integrated into a new internal digital structure the Danish wind group will launch in January, after which Utopus will cease as a separate entity.
