Vestas announced plans for 220 job losses as it integrates the former MHI Vestas Offshore Wind joint venture into its wider operation following its acquisition of full control of the turbine OEM.
The Danish onshore wind giant said most of the job losses will be in Denmark with some in the UK, with a consultation process about to begin in a bid to bring “clarity” for most of those affected by the end of this month.
