Vestas' sale of a US wind project to utility Southern Power marked a new step forward in what has to date been one of the lower-profile areas of the OEM giant's global activities, but one now earmarked for growth – project development.
Southern Power acquired the 118MW Glass Sands Wind Facility in Oklahoma from Steelhead Americas, the Danish group’s US development subsidiary based in Oregon.
