Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas will soon launch a new digital platform to efficiently connect buyers and sellers of parts and services from various renewable technologies, starting with wind turbines.
The platform called Covento aims to transform the currently fragmented so-called renewables aftermarket into a simplified and centralized digital marketplace, where sellers and buyers can easily connect.
Access is on an invite-only basis at first to control the quality of the providers in what Vestas thinks is a multi-billion euro segment.
