Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas won an order for three wind energy projects in Russia with a combined capacity of 252MW that will bring its footprint in the world’s largest country to almost 600MW.

The order is the fourth by a joint investment fund by Finnish utility Fortum and local player JSC Rusnano. The consortium had won a 1.8GW pipeline in tenders in 2017 and 2018, and has a preferred supplier agreement with Vestas.
