After years of delays, Vattenfall has taken a final investment decision for its €769m ($867m) twin Danish nearshore projects that from 2023 onwards are scheduled to feed green power from 344MW of offshore turbines into the electricity grid.

The 168MW Vesterhav Syd and 176MW Vesterhav Nord arrays in the North Sea will feature 20 and 21 Siemens Gamesa 8.4MW machines respectively.
