One of the largest subsidy-free onshore wind farms planned in the UK so far is set to go-ahead after a £320m ($398m), deal between utility group Vattenfall and renewables investor Greencoat.

The 240MW South Kyle Wind Farm in southwest Scotland will be built and managed by Vattenfall, which will also buy the power from the project for 15 years after its sale-on-completion to Greencoat UK Wind.
