Offshore wind farms as well as renewables projects built on federal land in the US will now be able to receive tax credits if they are in operation within ten years of construction, following changes at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a move that will give developers additional certainty and flexibility amid permitting and other delays they are experiencing.
