Maine and the UK have signed a five-year pact to partner on development and deployment of advanced low-carbon technologies that address climate change with a core emphasis on offshore wind, where the US state aspires to become a global leader with a locally-developed floating platform design.
The memorandum of understanding signed by Governor Janet Mills and UK Energy Minister Kwasi Kwarteng took effect Wednesday.
