Joint-venture partner Avangrid expects final federal approval in the fourth quarter for the 800MW Vineyard Wind, the pioneering large-scale US offshore wind project, which would allow phased commercial start in 2023-24.
“Vineyard Wind’s permitting process is on track, with no changes to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s latest timeline and final Record of Decision,” Avangrid CEO James Torgerson said on a first quarter earnings call.
