It includes commercial and industrial users, the federal government and higher education institutions.
“Over 23% of the wind power contracts signed in 2014 were with corporate buyers and other non-utility groups,” says Emily Williams, deputy director, industry data and analysis, for the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
The trade group will provide a detailed analysis on the rising non-utility purchaser trend in its 2014 US Wind Industry Annual Market Report that it will release on 15 April.
“Successful
