The project, financed by developer One Energy, is the latest to involve utility-scale wind turbines as a renewable source of power for US manufacturing operations.
Commercial operation is targeted for the fourth quarter.
It is unusual in that both companies will utilize electricity from the project with Ball taking output from three of the 1.5MW Goldwind turbines and Whirlpool the other two.
