GE tells Recharge the deal will include 126 of its 1.7-103 turbines for the São Clemente project and 77 of its 1.6-100 machines for the Tianguá project, located in Brazil’s’ Pernambuco and Ceara states, respectively.

Less than a month ago GE delivered its first nacelle assembled in Brazil under the country's 2013 local-content regime, to Electrosul's 181MW Hermenegildo wind farm.

The Tianguá project – acquired by Casa dos Ventos last year from Energimp, the wind arm of troubled Argentinian group Impsa – must begin operations by February 2016.
