Danish renewable energy developer Copenhagen Energy has revealed plans for a third gigascale offshore wind project in Western Australia.

The company has submitted details for the 3GW Samphire Offshore Wind Farm to federal regulatory authorities and released them for public comment.

The project planned in Commonwealth and State waters at a location between 60 and 120 kilometres north of Perth would comprise up to 200 turbines and six substations, and produce enough power for three million homes and businesses.
