UK's £2.6bn Beatrice offshore wind taps Siemens for turbines, OTM

A consortium led by UK utility SSE will proceed with the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind project off Scotland at a cost of £2.6bn ($3.76bn), with Siemens supplying 7MW turbines and pioneering offshore transformer module (OTM) grid-access technology.
