Technology outfit Universal Foundation (UF) has set the seal on a deal with marine contractor Van Oord to support installation of two next-generation ‘Mono Bucket’ foundations at the 269MW Deutsche Bucht wind farm being developed in the German North Sea.
The contract extends Van Oord’s balance-of-plant project-scope at the site, being developed by Canada’s Northland Power in some 40 metres of water using 33 of MHI Vestas’ V164-8.4MW
