Eight consortia including major German, Danish, Chinese and US turbine groups in conjunction with local players will compete in Turkey's 1GW wind power tender, according to reports from Ankara.
Energy minister Berat Albayrak has indicated that the results of the project tender, held on 27 July, will be announced this week, said financial news wire Reuters.
“The bids we took have shown that a huge path has opened up for renewable energy sources,” said Albayrak.
