The new office will strengthen Vestas’ commitment to promote wind power and develop new business opportunities in the country, says the wind turbine giant.
Marcelo Tokman Ramos, head of Vestas government relations in Latin America, will head the new sales unit.
The Danish company did not specify when the office will open.
Last year Chile experienced substantial growth in wind power capacity, with the installation of more than 140MW.
