A wind turbine fire sent "acrid black smoke" billowing across the city of Hull in northeast England early on Wednesday morning.
The blaze began after 7am at the single-turbine site in the city, said Karen Shepherd, CEO of adjacent business HOTA – which itself specialises in firefighting training for the wind industry.
The turbine was at the centre of a "huge fire, and looks to be falling apart.
