President Donald Trump’s abrupt move to back off from threats to unilaterally withdraw the US from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) offers wind supply chain companies here some hope they can remain cost-competitive in Mexico, an emerging export growth market.
In a Twitter post Thursday, Trump said he had received calls from Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau asking to renegotiate NAFTA, rather than terminate it.
