Financial terms of the deal were not made public.
TPI will supply the blades from a recently announced second factory in Izmir, Turkey, that is due to begin production in the fourth quarter.
“A year ago we announced our first supply agreement with Vestas for blade production in China,” says chief executive Steve Lockard, adding his company is pleased that the Danish giant has chosen to expand its business relationship with TPI by outsourcing blade production in the EMEA region.
