With the global market for new wind farms trending downward in recent years, Arizona-based wind blade maker TPI Composites has an enviable challenge on its hands: managing its breakneck growth.

While the wind market shrank 4% worldwide last year, TPI grew its headcount 30% to nearly 11,000 — including thousands of factory workers in Mexico, Turkey and China. Revenues cracked $1bn in 2018, and are expected to surge 50% this year on blade shipments of around 10GW.
