The Illinois-based company brought in $43.5m in sales, but lost $4.1m in the quarter, or $0.04 per share, an improvement from the $12m loss recorded in the same period a year ago.
Chief executive Peter Duprey says order intake increased 150% and the company made better use of its capacity in its towers and gearing businesses.
“Our focus on larger towers and rebalancing our revenue stream between wind energy and industrial customers is paying off,” he says in a statement.
