Combining years of competencies built up by Wpd Offshore with the massive financial power of Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) will help newly rebranded Skyborn Renewables to “truly take a new growth path” and become “bigger and more successful”, the developer’s chief executive Achim Berge told Recharge.
GIP earlier this month closed the acquisition of 100% of developer Wpd’s offshore wind business that was first announced in May and rebranded the unit.
