Equinor warned Poland that the nation needs to move quickly to sort out the regulatory details for its first wave of offshore wind projects, if it wants to avoid delays and see power flowing from turbines as soon as 2025.

Poland’s offshore wind act should be in force by year-end, with a first batch of some 4.6GW in pre-developed projects being granted government support under a contract-for-difference (CfD) scheme without need for a prior auction, Michał Jerzy Kołodziejczyk, the head of the Norwegian oil & gas firm’s office in the Eastern European country told Recharge.
