Dramatic footage of a freight train colliding with a wind turbine blade transporter that drew gasps of horror from onlookers has been widely shared on social media.
The accident in Luling, Texas, happened when the truck carrying the blade apparently halted on a rail crossing while negotiating a sharp turn.

Some local media reported that the train crew needed hospital treatment after the incident on Sunday, but that their injuries were not serious.
Texas is the largest US state for onshore wind development, installing almost 600MW in the second quarter of this year alone, according to the American Clean Power Association.
