RWE’s 300MW Tromp Binnen wind farm will see 59 turbines erected atop gravity-based foundations 75 kilometres off the coast of Callantsoog. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2013.
It will be RWE’s first offshore wind project in waters controlled by The Netherlands, although it already has a number of developments in its portfolio, including the UK’s Gwynt y Mor, Belgium’s Thornton Bank and Germany’s Innogy Nordsee 1.
