'The first of many': Siemens Gamesa strikes debut wind deal with oil & gas player Repsol

Turbine OEM Siemens Gamesa has sealed its first deal to supply the fast-growing wind business of Spanish oil & gas group Repsol.

Siemens Gamesa will deliver 24 of its SG 5.0-145 wind turbines to four Repsol projects in Spain. The 120MW of capacity is due to be commissioned late this year and in early 2022.

Enrique Pedrosa, Siemens Gamesa managing director for Spain, said he “was sure the [agreement] will be the first of many” with Repsol.
