The Polish government signed a letter of intent with companies and industry groups over cooperation to spur large-scale development in the Baltic, in a move hailed as “the birth of offshore wind power in Poland”.

The cooperation is slated to result in the signing of a Polish offshore wind ‘sector deal’, mirroring the UK’s similar agreement signed in March 2019, in which the industry and the government in London committed to a partnership designed to spur £40bn ($50bn) of infrastructure investment and reach 30GW of wind power capacity at sea by 2030.
