Final commissioning of the UK’s second-largest offshore wind farm was hailed as a triumph in adversity, with a large chunk of the project completed amid the “unprecedented” pressures of working in lockdown.

The team working on Iberdrola subsidiary ScottishPower Renewables’ £2.5bn ($3.1bn) East Anglia 1 project off eastern England said the demands of safe working amid the coronavirus pandemic forced a “transformation” of working practices.
