Transmission system operator TenneT plans to hold a vast tender with suppliers to ensure it can build grid links for 40GW of offshore wind capacity in the German and Dutch North Sea by 2030.
The TSO said it intends to enter into a cooperation agreement with key market players for a period of up to eight years covering offshore platforms and onshore stations, as well as the converters for the two-way conversion between alternating and direct currents.
