Offshore construction contractor Swire Blue Ocean (SBO) has secured the assignment of installing the turbines at the Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm, the 1.1GW Seagreen, being developed by utility SSE Renewables and transitioning energy giant Total.

SBO, which will uses its Orca jack-upfor the job, will transport out114 of MHI Vestas’ biggest model yet, the 10MW V164, during the second half of 2021 and install the machines at the project site, which is located 27km offshore in the UK North Sea.
