ITC, which operates across a range of industries, including cigarettes, packaged foods, and hotels, already sources 30% of its electricity from renewables, and aims to reach 50% “in the near future”.
ITC will buy 10 units of Suzlon’s S88-2.1MW turbines, and four units of its S82-1.5MW turbines. ITC, which owns Suzlon-built wind farms in the states of Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra, will see its wind portfolio increase to 47.1MW
