Norwegian developer Aker Offshore Wind (AOW) and Stockholm-headquartered technology outfit Hexicon have set the seal on a deal to investigate progressing “early-phase” floating wind power projects off Sweden to support the Nordic nation’s net-zero goals.

The pair, which have set up a 50:50 joint venture (JV), said they aimed develop “multiple … projects with a combined capacity of several gigawatt”, through to 2045.
