Spain-based developer BlueFloat and power generator Capital Energy have teamed up for a 50MW project in Tenerife in the Canary Islands that they claim would be the first offshore wind farm in a Spanish port.
The partners have earmarked €120m ($125.5m) for the Granadilla development that would feature five 10MW turbines placed on gravity-based concrete foundations from engineering company Esteyco.
