Plans for one of the world’s biggest offshore wind farms passed an early test as UK developer SSE Renewables received consent for onshore grid infrastructure for its vast Berwick Bank project.
The project, scoped to be as large as 4.1GW at its site 38km off Scotland, received the decision in principle from local councillors in East Lothian and is currently awaiting a verdict on offshore consent from the Scottish government.
