UK developer SSE Renewables and Spanish partner Acciona Energia have put in to develop a first offshore wind in the Baltic Sea off Poland.

Few details of the project plan for zone 60.E.4, located in 58 metres of waters some 85km off Wladystawowo, near Gdansk, were immediately available for “competitive” reasons, but the companies describe it as a “high-value, high-complexity” play.

“We’ve decided to apply to [this] zone because we believe we are uniquely positioned to unlock the full potential of this high-value, high-complexity site.
