Spain’s renewables industry has been left frustrated by delays to new climate and energy legislation, following inconclusive elections which resulted in ruling Socialist party PSOE striking a deal with far-left Podemos in a bid to form a coalition government.

“Wind manufacturers have work to do this year and next, but after that there are big question marks, and you will start to have problems keeping factories going,” warned Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE) political director Heikki Willstedt Mesa in an interview with Recharge.
