The transaction, for an unspecified amount, will close upon the project’s completion in spring 2016. It follows Southern Power’s acquisition earlier this year of the 299MW Kay wind project from Virginia-based Apex, which marked the company’s first foray into the wind business.
Siemens will supply 66 turbines to the Grant project, set in northern Oklahoma. Siemens is also supplying Apex’s Kay project.
