South Korean oil & gas group KNOC said it will “pursue in earnest” plans to deploy the nation’s first floating wind plant in 2026 after the 200MW Donghae 1 project passed a key feasibility study.
The project is due to help pioneer what the South Korean government hopes will be 6GW of floating deployment off the city of Ulsan by 2030.
