Offshore wind projects corresponding to an annual electricity production of 67 terawatt hours are currently in the permitting phase in Sweden, the country’s wind energy association Svensk Vindenergi said.

That translates into about 15GW of capacity to be built, Lina Kinning, responsible for offshore wind at Svensk Vindenergi told Recharge.

Governments and associations in Nordic countries in their planning and outlooks often specify expected volumes of power to be generated instead of capacity figures.
